The principals of my personal TF canon.

Ultra Magnus is Dion, rebuilt.

Magnus is madly, almost obsessively in love with Optimus Prime, and has been since back when they were Orion and Dion.

Roller is a semi-sparked drone - he has a small piece of Optimus's spark in him. This means he acts like Optimus's alter ego. My Roller muse has decided he prefers being Optimus's twin and has totally vetoed being a normal drone. He likes the idea of being family more than the idea of being an alter ego. See the following for details.

Roller is Optimus Prime's parasitic twin (No. 1) - a twin who didn't develop properly and was later found attached to Orion's spark, removed and placed in a microbot body to act as Orion's drone. The only way to really tell he is a twin and not a spark-drone is through a spark-check on Optimus. Parasitic twins remain mildly parasitic after separation, drawing on their twin's spark energy, through the twin-bond, to keep their own spark stable. Optimus, however, has never begrudged this drain.

Dion and Ariel were already Orion's friends at the time Orion was found to have a parasitic twin and both [Magnus and Elita] know Roller is Optimus's stunted twin instead of a normal drone.

Roller happens to really like Magnus.

Primus has Servants. Some of these Servants are ex-Primes. Marita is one of them.

There is a clan of Cybertronians who live in the inner layers of Cybertron. They believe it is their holy duty to maintain the planet, where the rest of the population has forgotten their duty. They're not wrong, considering they are led by Marita, who, as a Servant of Primus, has a direct link to him.

Primus needs substantial repairs done to Cybertron. Even the Clan of Primus can't do everything that is needed, they only have the mechs to keep the vital systems running.

Primus sometimes has drones.

Magnus sometimes is a drone of Primus.

Soundwave, Perceptor and Starscream are sometimes Servants of Primus.

Soundwave is sometimes a priest.

Soundwave the Servant of Primus was a priest before he became Prime.

Perceptor was the Prime that directly followed Starscream.

Rodimus is sometimes Optimus and Magnus's sparkling.

Other times he is Perceptor's sparkling.

Perceptor is almost always involved with Ratchet and Wheeljack.

Rodimus is never Ratchet or Wheeljack's son. He's from a relationship before.

The times Perceptor is not involved with Ratchet and Wheeljack, he gets involved with Grimlock. This is facepalm-worthy for Roddy (if Roddy is Perce's son).

Arcee may be Elita One's mother. This is facepalm-worthy for Optimus and Magnus if Roddy is their son.

Primus is frequently a horny bugger.

Because Primus is a horny bugger, he will definitely sleep with his Servants if he has an active drone - whether the drone is Magnus or not.

Primus will probably sleep with people who aren't Servants too, especially if it helps end the war.

Unicron is sometimes Primus's brother.

Primus and Unicron are never total and utter enemies.

Unicron is never totally and utterly evil.

Even if Unicron is Primus's brother, Primus will spark-sex with him. Incest means nothing to them.

When Magnus is not a drone, he may possibly be the child of Primus and Unicron. Whether he is aware of this is optional.

Optimus can possibly be a third member of Primus and Unicron's race... or the drone of one. This can only be applicable in universes where Magnus is a Primus drone.

Starscream may be another member of Primus and Unicron's race, but one who is troublesome even in Unicron's estimation. Primus and Unicron worked together to weaken him enough so he could be put in the body of one of Primus's "children". This is the reason for why Starscream is immortal - he has the tougher spark (even weakened) of Primus's own species instead of the weak spark of a normal Cybertronian.
This version of Starscream is not a Servant of Primus.

Rewind may be one of the Original Thirteen. In instances where he is, his "light matrix" is actually a small part of the Matrix of Leadership. He has it to act as a stabiliser for the larger part of the Matrix. He frequently has a carrier to make others think he is younger than he really is - this is Blaster's role, to act as Rewind's protector and distraction.
Blaster is actually Rewind's sparkling, the latest in a long line of such throughout Cybertronian history. Whether Blaster knows this is optional.

There may be more than one Matrix of Leadership - anything up three in fact. Optimus definitely has one. Magnus may have one. A Decepticon (most likely Soundwave) may have one. Rewind - if an Ancient - definitely has one. Another Ancient may have one - the most likely candidate being Vector, who has never given his up.
