First Meeting

It's interesting to look back over RP threads and see how a given person acts with a fellow pup back in the early stages of their association.

Given how close they are now I found it amusing to read over Tingilindë's earliest RP with Elrohir in T_M, back when she popped up in the middle of an evening out on Morden's tab at some nightclub that Elrohir had.

elrohir_muse
*rolls eyes* I know all too well how much trouble that damn ring is. But it does make life interesting...

mr_morden
Interesting but not pleasant, alas.

elrohir_muse
So my friend, what are we going to do about it?

mr_morden
Well, some Valar woman is currently trying to tell me that the Ring doesn't exist. She's either been watching too many late night tv shows and not paying attention to current events or she's been asleep. Either way, denial from a first one is not a good thing. Hell, if the First One's of MY universe can see the evil in this thing....well. *shakes his head*

Personally? I'd like to shoot it into a white hole. I think the Ring would be very happy in a white hole. Everyone else would be happier - it wouldn't be able to leave it, ever again.

elrohir_muse
White hole? Is that different than a black hole?

Valar woman? Which one...*mumbles* Please don't say Varda...

mr_morden
Well, it's posited that White Holes can't actually exist as they violate the rule of thermodynamics. They're the reverse of a Black Hole, everything continues to spiral backwards through a relative time to a relative stop and a relative bang, like reversing the concept of time to the Big Bang. In the case of a White Hole, the reversion would continue, so that the Big Bang would consume the Ring in the reversed energy fields of the bang itself.

Actually, yes, I do believe it was Varda. Do you know her?

elrohir_muse
*groans* Yes, I have had my own dealings with the Valar Elbereth, as she is also known.

mr_morden
SHE'S Elbereth? Petulant, isn't she? I'm waiting for the foot stomping and arm waving to begin.

elrohir_muse

Morden, I am going to give you the same warning I gave Mike when dealing with Smaug. Please don't piss her off, because I still have to live in that world.

mr_morden
*breezily* If she's pissed off at you for talking to me, then she has a problem and should seek counselling.

Elrohir, I've worked with First Ones with as much if not more power than her. I've KILLED First Ones. It's much of a muchness.

vardagilthoniel
*Is standing right behind Morden*

You know I never said the One Ring doesn't exist, I only said you were in the wrong to go stealing Earendil's silmaril.

And I am aware of the second silmaril in Craig's posession and though Ulmo made a bit of fuss about it that one can stay where it is - for the moment - so long as 'where it is' is in Craig's posession.

*Throws a wink at Elrohir*

elrohir_muse
*groans and then buries his head in his arms on the table*

vardagilthoniel
Aww! What's the matter dear boy? Besides the drinking of course...

elrohir_muse
*mumbles, because his head is still being covered by his arms* Trouble seems to follow me where ever I go...

Lets see...Mike, Craig, Morden, Elbereth, Smaug, the One Ring, Elladan and Sark, my entire family in Imladris...

vardagilthoniel
Oh dear, nice to know I'm considered 'trouble' (Manwe is never gonna let me live that down!) though I thought you at least had your uncle on your side at home.

*Snerks* And "Trouble" is the least that can be said about Tingilindë!
