Nightlands: Titans of the Elemental Arcane
So I had another fandom wanting expies in the Nightlands... Monsterverse. I honestly am not sure they fit, but here's my thoguhts anyway.
So I have already established that the Fae Realms exist in a place just under the surface of the Mundane where the upper reaches of the Elemental Arcane start to to converge.
I had a thought to have another location similar, but it exists on the deep-side of the Elemental Realms, in a location where the Elements fade out into the raw Arcane Deeps.
This second location is far rougher and wilder than the upper reaches of the Elements, since while on the Fae Convergence, it is light air meeting earth meeting gentle streams meeting small flames, the deep convergence is Stone meets Ocean meets Gale-Force meets Conflagaration.
Even the Living Stone that is the true home of Dwarves, the Great Conflagoration which is second home of Phoenixes, and the intersection between the two where the Basalt Realms sit is higher than the Deep Wild.
The Deep Wild is a Realm of megafauna - massive monsters that have not walked the Mundane since the earliest myth and legends of the Great Four Races, and even Leviathan is less than willing to recall it.
But the Deep Wild has it's own order, great creatures who live and roam and have their own hierarchy. An order that the Mundane has moved beyond and cannot host confortably.
However despite how dangerous this Realm may be, there are people who have found their way there, and have found a way to survive and even thrive in it's wild bounds, living around the titanic beings that rule those hidden lands.
But if any fool of the Mundane thinks to try bring those Great Ones into the Surface World, they will be unleashing cataclysmic destruction not seen in eons.
The Orders and powers of magic keep a watch for such fools, and put a stop to them before they can cause such devastation, because unleashing the King on the Nightllands may be a disaster, but it would be even worse if they set loose the Golden Destroyer.
***
(In addendum, the Nightlands is not really prepared for entities like Godzilla stomping around, so I thought up yet another part of the Arcane Deeps where Titans live their lives. Think of it as Monsterverse's Hollow Earth... but in a magic other-realm.)
***
Edit 29/11/22: Asgard and the Aesvaani have their own names for various Arcane Realms. The Deep Wild is Jotunheim to them. Yes, there are humanoid giants there as well, but they not common. There are also normal humans and Kessír there as well - mostly Wild and Green Kessír, though also some Grey. The humans are descended from the ancient Aesir and Vanir tribes, but don't consider themselves related to the "soft and tame" Aesvaani.
